John Howard is a f***ing liar. So many broken promises. Thanks to all you knobheads who voted for him/liberal in the last election. HOPE YOUR HAPPY NOW!

They all break their promises. I'm sure if Labor got in, they'd be breaking promises left and right as well

Too true. Health Minister Tony Abbott said the Medicare safety net staying the way it is was an "iron-clad guarantee". I saw the interview that he said that in .. he was absolutely adamant. Now they're backflipping. Holy mother of shit! That means that nothing is sacred if they're prepared to 'absolutely' promise one thing, and then ignore that self-imposed promise.

If Labour had any goddamn balls, they'd play the occasional TV ad now (even once a week - it wouldn't cost much) to spread the word about this bullshit. Make the public lose their confidence in the government now and that'll be on their minds come election season.

Howard doesn't give a shit, mind you. He knows it's his last term. He doesn't care if he breaks every promise and shafts this country up the poo shoot .. when he retires he'll be on a 6-figure pension for life.

It's politics

to them a promise is like a toy, good fun for a little while but all to easily put aside or broken once the novelty has worn off
